About Who’s Next

Have you ever wondered what it takes to get a concept or idea off the ground from the initial foundational stage? Does brand building and social media strategy interest you?

Who’s Next, created by Joseph Calabrese, is a digital-first journalism brand spotlighting the rising talent, trends, and tactics shaping the creator economy and the next generation of real-estate decision-makers.

As a graduate student (Full Sail University New Media Journalism master’s program), my work focuses on social media marketing, influencer strategy, and the evolving relationship between digital influence and real-world industries like residential real estate. I’m also a licensed [New York] real-estate salesperson based in Staten Island, NYC, giving me a grounded, practical understanding of how younger buyers, renters and investors actually navigate today’s market.

What I Cover:

My beat lives at the intersection of:

  • Emerging creators & digital talent
  • Influencer marketing, authenticity & audience trust
  • The digital-media habits of Gen Z and Millennials
  • Real-estate education, affordability trends & buyer behavior
  • How social platforms rewrite opportunity, wealth, and visibility

In a world where influence moves faster than housing inventory, I help readers understand who’s rising, what’s changing, and why it matters, whether you’re a creator, a consumer, a first-time homebuyer, or someone trying to make sense of a new digital economy.

My Approach:

I combine:

  • Data-driven reporting
  • Interviews with industry leaders, creators, and real-estate professionals
  • Marketing insights learned from academic research and real-world practice
  • Clear breakdowns designed for the attention spans and expectations of today’s digital audience

The philosophy is simple: journalism should be credible, accessible and ahead of the curve. Whether unpacking a viral trend, analyzing a mortgage proposal, or profiling a rising creator, Who’s Next aims to provide the relevant audience a blend of depth and clarity – without the noise.

Why I Started Who’s Next:

Younger audiences deserve journalism that speaks their language and covers the spaces where they actually spend their time — Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, and the creators who shape culture every day.

Who’s Next exists to:

  • Elevate stories of up-and-coming talent
  • Break down complex real-estate concepts into practical insight
  • Explore how digital influence impacts money, opportunity, and decision-making
  • Help younger readers make informed, confident choices in a rapidly shifting landscape

This is more than a media project. It’s part of a long-term vision to build a trusted, forward-thinking reporting brand that blends journalism, social strategy and real-world expertise.

Where This Is Going:

Who’s Next is a platform that includes:

  • Regular articles and creator profiles
  • Short-form video explainers
  • Market breakdowns tailored to a digital generation
  • Interviews with creators, entrepreneurs and industry professionals
  • Social-first reporting designed for reach, clarity and credibility

Along the way, I’ll continue using my real-estate experience, academic research, and professional network to deliver journalism that’s both informative and culturally relevant.
